近日,北京大学(PKU) 与国际应用系统分析研究所(IIASA)发布了联合博士后项目申请通知,希望在全球范围内招收有优秀学术研究能力与潜力的博士后,为其提供高水平的学术训练、跨学科的资源支持、良好的科研环境以及多层次的国际交流机会。该联合项目由北京大学博雅博士后项目资助,拟招收的博士后方向覆盖环境污染与全球变化、环境风险、环境与健康、能源-经济-环境、生态系统和自然资源管理等多领域,旨在推动跨学科研究。
北京大学环境科学与工程学院在大气污染与全球变化、环境与健康、能源与气候政策、水流域管理、自然资源管理、环境经济与环境风险评价等方面与IIASA相关研究团队有很强的相关性和互补性,并通过暑期青年科学家项目(YSSP)等形式与IIASA的Air和Water项目组建立了密切联系和合作研究,具有良好的合作基础。相关研究团队介绍请见:http://cese.pku.edu.cn。

PKU-IIASA Postdoctoral Fellowship Program Call for Applications 2018
Peking University (PKU) and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) have launched the PKU-IIASA International Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, aimed at training highly qualified early-career post doctors to carry out research mainly in the following fields: pollution and global change, environment and health, environmental risks, energy-economy-environment, ecological and natural resources management, water basin and regional management.
While you could contact any researcher at Peking University, you are warmly welcome to contact faculties at College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering (CESE, http://cese.pku.edu.cn) since we have established close relationship with research teams at IIASA, such as GAINS team and Water Program, through collaborative researches and joint research by young scientists supported by Young Scholar Summer Program (YSSP).

Postdoctoral fellowships offered every year: 2
Total Duration: 12 Months at PKU and 12 Months at IIASA to conduct research
Exchange visits: Visits to IIASA when the fellow is at PKU and vice versa are expected, including a mandatory inaugural visit.
The exact time and sequence to be spent at both institutions shall be discussed and decided between the fellow and their host supervisors at both PKU and IIASA.
15000 RMB per month paid by PKU (for the total duration)
Costs for relocation travel and the inaugural and subsequent exchange visits between PKU and IIASA: borne by the receiving institution.
Costs for conducting the collaborative research: covered by host supervisors of the fellow at PKU and IIASA.
While at PKU:
Insurances: Paid by PKU
Accommodation: Choice to pay to live in the PKU postdoctoral flat or a subsidy of 3,500 RMB per month for finding own accommodation.
While at IIASA:
Accommodation: 3,500 RMB (the equivalent in Euro) per month for finding own accommodation.
Health insurance: Paid by IIASA
Eligibility and Evaluation Criteria
Ph.D. degree received no more than five years prior to the start of the appointment.
Not holding tenure or in tenure-track faculty positions
At least one faculty member from each institution agreeing to serve as host supervisor identified
Academic excellence of the applicant,
Quality of the proposed research project,
Demonstration of the anticipated synergy of a joint postdoctoral project,
Commitment of the respective hosts at both institutions.
